World Nuclear Association, based at our Net Zero Nuclear pavilion in the Blue Zone, is representing the interests of the global nuclear industry at COP29 - the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The New York Times has put a spotlight on nuclear power at this year's COP and interviewed Dr Sama Bilbao y Leon, Director General of World Nuclear Association, about the status of the nuclear energy industry.

Today at COP29 UN Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, six countries joined the declaration to triple global nuclear energy capacity by 2050.

World Nuclear Association will be representing the global industry in a series of high profile events and face to face discussions with negotiators and participants, including at our Net Zero Nuclear exhibition space in the Conference’s Blue Zone.
