There are many motivations for nuclear energy adoption, but for Net Zero Nuclear the focus is on tripling nuclear energy by 2050 to decarbonize the entire economy and provide access to 24/7 clean energy to power development and prosperity.
Net Zero Nuclear was launched by World Nuclear Association (WNA) and the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), with the support of the Atoms4NetZero initiative launched by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at the World Nuclear Symposium in London in 2023.
Yasuharu Kimura, Executive Officer, Vice President of Sustainable Solutions and Senior General Manager of Nuclear Energy Division, JGC Corporation, said
